State of the blogosphere reading

I found this to be the most interesting of all the readings.  The break down of people who blog shows hobbyist bloggers as the most common, which seemed obvious, but I would have had a hard time trying to guess the others.  Corporate and entrepreneurs bloggers were two groups that I had never really associated with blogging due to the fact that the aforementioned hobbyists seem to be the only group known to many.  So how exactly does one go about being compensated to blog??
