Readings - QR codes and academic libraries

This article made me think long and hard.  For starters, it made me realize that I seriously need to get a smartphone.  It also opened my eyes to the amazing rate at which smartphones and internet-enabled phones are increasing everyday, especially amongst students.  The author of this article is basically saying that the rapid rise of smartphones is an ideal reason as to why the use of QR codes will also increase.  Interesting side note: The QR codes originated in Japan.

Oh I almost forgot!  I saw a QR code on a bag of fertilizer at Home Depot the day after we discusse them in class.  Just thought that was interesting =P
